About Me

I am a neurodivergent artist and art psychotherapist (HCPC). My background is in education and leading NGOs and projects that challenge discrimination and break down barriers so that disabled and neurodivergent students, children and artists can thrive.

After 15 years working in Higher Education/worldwide Universities, I left to pursue my art practice. However, I continue to mentor and provide access support to university students and practicing artists who continue to face barriers.

I will be a little bit busier from 5th March but I will be more available on the weekends to mentor/provide access support/coaching etc.

Arts Mentoring

Specific to the arts, I support disabled and neurodivergent artists think about their arts practice and pursue their goals. I support with arts applications (I'm afraid I don't do budget forms but I do do Artist Statements, Application questions etc and editing any kind of information you wish - written, verbal and film!

I help with breaking information down, mind mapping and supporting you with signposting to organisations and access.

I also support artists to transform their "stuckness" into flourishing ideas, through transcendent listening and paying attention!

Arts Mentoring - £65/hour (Skype/Phonecall)

Art Psychotherapy

As an art psychotherapist (HCPC), I am here to provide person centred, person focused compassion and care to guide you whilst you use art materials freely.

Art therapy is a form of psychotherapy that uses art media as its primary mode of expression and communication.

Sessions will be at my home - but I'm currently experiencing building work at the moment so whilst that's on, I am having a pause.

Sessions can occur at your home and this is at an extra cost of £50 to cover my costs.

Art Therapy - £95 for 1.5 hours.

Art Therapy for children - £65 for 1 hour.

Academic Specialist Mentoring

I work part time as a Specialist Mentor and Study skills tutor (dyslexia/dyspraxia) for Clearlinks and have experience of supporting students funded by DSA since 2010. I support university students with their academic essays, help them to use new strategies to meet their deadlines and access their studies. 60% of my students have achieved Firsts and the rest achieved 2:1s, none of my students have failed, yet came to me on the brink of failing. The only thing that changed was I helped them to identify their barriers so that they could thrive.

If funded by DSA there are two routes: Through Clearlinks or direct to me.

If self-funded, my costs are £50/hour on Skype or £75 for 2 hours on Skype.

Access Support Coach

I support disabled graduates and job seekers with applying for Access to Work and other job applications.

By learning about the Social Model of Disability and transforming your vocabulary anyone can thrive!
