Artist Statement
I am a multidisciplinary artist working across sound art, filmmaking, audio-video, drawing and painting. My practice is rooted in a phenomenology of healing, where sensory experience, embodiment and transformation guide the process. My work engages with environmental fragility/resilience through layered soundscapes, immersive storytelling and ritualistic gestures that speak to my lived experiences of neurodivergence (autism, ADHD, synesthesia) and disability. I create "stim-scapes," live performances, installations, and participatory sound trails that invite communities to reconnect with their environments.
Deeply influenced by themes of otherness, ritual, and enchantment, I layer sound, video, and natural imagery into phantasmagorical, emotionally immersive worlds - liminal ecologies where healing, haunting, and transformation coexist.
I view ecological collapse not only as a disaster but as fertile ground for re-attunement and care. While human actions have harmed ecosystems, my work suggests we can also be stewards - through listening, noticing and storytelling.

Ben McElroy – Elkwort
Spoken Word Artist
I contributed spoken word to Elkwort, an evocative album by composer Ben McElroy that channels the emotional textures of forests and wild places through raw, improvised layers of cello and pump organ. My pieces draw on my sensory connection to woodland environments, exploring themes of haunting, stimming and embodied memory. The album, shaped around the therapeutic act of playing as a release, preserves the imperfections - scrapes, repetitions, and textures - that make up its living, breathing soundscape.
2024
Biodivergent Sites & Sounds (BSS)
Lead Artist, Funded by Arts Council England and Canal & River Trust
An exploration of the Grand Union Canal (London) through the lens of autistic sensory experience and environmental neglect. The project engages audiences through online experiences, workshops and creative technology tools designed for stimming and ecological care. BSS explores the canal as a dynamic intersection of pollution, biodiversity and community, focusing on the embodied sensory experiences of autistic individuals through performance and creative technology. The canal's persistent pollution serves as a poignant metaphor for societal issues, particularly the treatment of marginalised communities, including autistic individuals. It is a multi-faceted exploration of place, waterways and autism as a cultural identity. Through this project, I invite audiences to engage with the canal, embodying its pollution, biodiversity and sensations through innovative creative technology and opportunities to stim, embodying autistic lived experience.
