Listen to live journeys.

Examples of live journeying, streams of consciousness. In both tracks, I am composing the words live to a musician who is composing music live and we’re jamming together, both making it up as we go along. This would be my skill as an autistic/neurodivergent artist, I am able to journey within myself and discover images and journeys, generating song, stories, new ways of storytelling.

The first track was recorded when I was bedbound and the musician played guitar around me whilst I was lying down! I never let barriers get in my way from performing.

Painting to Soundscape.

This piece: Bright flower, Cracked Star, Shine on!

This was a live stream of consciousness storytelling to live cello music by musician Jo-anne Cox. Together we performed this piece of music live and then, I merged the live recording of Jo’s cello to my voice, added a little sound design and then we played this live over Zoom as I painted for a live audience. We invited other artists to paint with us.

For this video I added an element of mirroring to reflect the power of stimming and hand gestures in the autistic linguistic performance.
